Ogun accountant general runs from journalists - NEXT

A mild drama unfolded yesterday as the Ogun State Accountant-General, Seye Senfuye took to his heels when journalists approached him to speak on what transpired between him and the authority of the House of Assembly following his invitation by the House leadership.

Mr Senfuye had appeared before the assembly to answer some questions on the finances of the state, with a focus on the last days of the immediate past governor, Gbenga Daniel, in office. He was, however, interrogated behind closed door by the lawmakers.

After the indoor drilling which lasted for over one hour, the accountant-general was allowed to leave.

Upon leaving, journalists swooped on him, to ascertain what transpired, but rather than responding, the accountant-general kept mute.

As the journalists followed him with questions being thrown at him, Mr Senfuye took to his heels as if in a race, from the second floor of the assembly building to join his driver already waiting downstairs.

As soon as he got out of the journalists' sight, the accountant-general who was accompanied by another senior official from his ministry, jumped into his car, and was driven off by his driver.
