Job Description: Job Duties

General

*Work directly with the Controller and plant management of the facility to accomplish monthly cost review and to recommend and implement improvement measures.
*Perform cost accounting reviews to aid operational personnel in making sound business decisions.
*Assist in oversight and management of the full accounting cycle including: closing monthly ledgers, and submitting monthly reporting items to the corporate office.
*Consider both the local plant management and the corporate office as the primary "customers."

Cost accounting

*Analyze the operational data on a monthly basis, including for example: Labor costs, Overhead costs, Labor and Overhead rates review, Reviewing the standard costs of inventory, Variances analyses (purchase price variance, labor variances, etc.) *Provide timely and reliable information on operational data (such as those listed above) to operations management at the plants.

Month-end financial reporting

*Assist in month-end closing procedures including: Month end closing of the books and records in accordance with US GAAP. Electronically submitting the monthly financial statements to Hyperion for consolidation by the Corporate office
*Assist in analyzing the financial results and explaining variances from plan or estimates and from standards.

Daily operational items

*Assist in oversight and management of the day-to-day accounting operations including: accounts payable and paying vendor invoices, accounts receivable and collecting cash from customers, invoicing customers, maintaining inventory records, maintaining and paying of payroll
*Assist in maintaining accounting controls
*Assist with intercompany invoicing between the Forum locations

Other

*Aid in other administrative areas as needed
*Assist in implementing new accounting systems as considered necessary

Qualifications

*Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
*Must have 3-5 years experience in general ledger accounting
*Advanced level in Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel
